Our story
How Tony's Angels began
Tony's Angels Daycare was founded in 2019 by Tony Rivera, a lifelong Bronx resident and early childhood education advocate. After years of working in local schools and witnessing firsthand how the right environment shapes a child's future, Tony set out to create a daycare that treated every child as an individual — not just a number.
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, Tony designed a space where infants and toddlers could explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. What started as a small family operation on White Plains Road has grown into one of Williamsbridge's most trusted childcare centers.
Today, Tony's Angels serves dozens of families across the Bronx, maintaining the same warmth, rigor, and personal attention that has defined us since day one.
Tony Rivera
Founder & Director
Tony holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Lehman College and is a certified Montessori practitioner. With over 20 years in childcare, he remains hands-on at the center every day — greeting families, mentoring staff, and making sure every angel feels at home.

Maria Santos
Lead Infant Teacher
Maria has 12 years of experience in infant care and holds a CDA credential. She is known for her gentle touch and ability to read even the youngest babies' cues.
James Okafor
Lead Toddler Teacher
James brings energy, creativity, and deep Montessori training to the toddler room. He holds an AMS certification and a degree in Child Development.
Rosa Mendez
Assistant Teacher
Rosa is a Bronx native and Lehman College graduate who joined Tony's Angels in 2018. Families love her warmth and her gift for making every child feel special.
